Greater Than

resurrection people series

What happens when individuals encounter the resurrecting power of Jesus?  In our Easter message series, we will discover the encounters five people have with the ever-present resurrecting power Jesus.  What could this resurrection power mean for you and me?  Let’s find out together as we discover this rock-rolling power of Jesus.

On Maundy Thursday, we invite you to pray on each hour, starting at 7am to 7pm.  Prayer guides will be available to help you celebrate the ever-present presence of Jesus.  Pray as the Spirit leads knowing the YpsiFree family is joining with in gratitude to our good and gracious God!   Guides can be found in the lobby or online.

As you walk with Jesus through Holy Week, commit to communing with Him over the bread & cup He gave as His covenant to us.  A liturgy will be available for you, your family, and/or community group to prepare with for taking the simple, yet sacred elements.  Allow these moments of silence, solitude and sacredness to lead you to the Cross & Empty Tomb of victory through Jesus.

Resurrection is celebration!!  Feasting is one of ways of God’s people celebrate.  So, you’re invited to bring your family and friends on Sunday, March 31 @9:45am to the FEAST between our two gatherings.  The YpsiFree hospitality team is whipping up a beast of a FEAST of both sweet and savory!  Gather with us for a morning of worship through all our senses!

On Easter Sunday, we invite you to enter your decorated Easter Egg in our Best Egg Contest!  Simply place your decorated egg in the provided egg display rings on the LEDGE along the main staircase.  Totally biased judges will select a winner and provide prizes for those who enter.  Please have your egg at the Ledge by 10:45am.  Results will be announced in the sanctuary at 10:58am.

The egg hunt became an Easter tradition in 16th-century Germany. Martin Luther held egg hunts at the church for his congregation, where the women and children would look for eggs that the men hid around the property. This practice is symbolic of the women who discovered that the tomb was empty after the resurrection.

Join some YpsiFree leaders for some pizza. We will respond to questions, have conversations & suggest NEXT STEPS.  This event will take place on Sunday, April 14 at 11:30 AM in room 302.  Please rsvp to yfmc@ypsifree.org to save spot and a slice.
